SPLIT MODE

SPLITMODE is a self-reflective publication built around the tension between analog and digital making. The title draws from a personal experience — the cognitive split of navigating creative work with an ADHD brain — where neither mode ever feels fully dominant, and that instability becomes the subject rather than the obstacle.

The book moves between handcrafted visuals and AI-generated imagery, treating distortion and process as expressive tools rather than problems to resolve. I was less interested in a polished outcome than in what the friction between methods could reveal — how accidents and shifts carry meaning that deliberate, controlled work sometimes can't.

Structurally, the publication responds to a brief combining self-reflective text, analog mark-making, and AI imagery within a typographic and grid-based layout. Conceptually, it asks what it means to claim what happens in the making — not just what was planned.
